High School Players skipping college

Is it right for a player to skip college and go straight to the NBA? Some say "no they need to get their education first, that that is the most important thing". Some say "Why go to college and risk getting hurt when you can go to the NBA right away and make millions of dollars?" Personally, I'm neutral. Yeah, it is a little annoying to see the players sign with colleges and then back out and go straight to the NBA. Take Josh Smith for instance. See, I'm a huge Indiana fan, and when Josh Smith, who now plays for the Atlanta Hawks and won the Slam Dunk contest, signed with Indiana, I was ecstatic. Then I get my local paper one morning and it reads "Smith to leave for NBA." I was stunned. Atleast with the new rule the best high school players, like Greg Oden, have to go to college for atleast a year.
